COVID 19 has affected mankind in many ways. It has not only given us a new normal but has also changed everything we knew about life till now, be it going through the enforced lockdown, cutting down social and public gatherings, wearing masks, and a lot more. But more than that, it has affected our lives by cutting down the source of income for a majority of the population.

It is not only that the minority people have suffered a lot but every section of the society has taken a hit because of this pandemic. On the one hand, people have suffered losses in the business; on the other hand, many had lost their businesses. Many have faced the cut down in the salary, but the majority have lost their jobs altogether as the organizations were “right-sizing their organizations”.

Well qualified people are forced to drive an auto or a taxi to earn their living. There are people who are forced to open up a small tuck shop to earn basic bread and butter for their families. Slowly and gradually the market is getting opened up again. The new job opportunities are again back in business but with a revised remuneration package. There are organizations that are considering candidates who have lost a job due to this pandemic. But there are organizations as well that are still looking for candidates who do not have a career break for whatsoever reasons. There are organizations that are reluctant to hire somebody just because he/she is over their hiring age bracket. Not even thinking that that person has lost the previous job due to something sudden like this.

Surprisingly, we all have experienced this nightmare. We all have witnessed the losses in our circles. Then how can people be so judgmental while hiring or while giving the opportunities?
